The NTI device snaps into place and fits comfortably on either the upper or lower front teeth. It is worn during sleep and prevents the intensity of muscular parafunction. For migraine sufferers, there is a more discreet version for daytime use, which is usually required (in addition to the pictured nighttime device) for 6 to 8 weeks for best results.

Chronic, intense nighttime muscular parafunction has been shown to be a considerable influence on the triggering of migraine events. In clinical trials, 82% of medically diagnosed migraine patients had a 77% reduction in migraine episodes within the first eight weeks of use.

Announcing: Mini-dental implants for denture retention

We are pleased to announce a new procedure available to our patients, the mini-dental implant from Imtec. This revolutionary design allows us to place the implant (without "surgery") and attach a denture or partial to it immediately for great stabilization and retention.

Because the system is so simple to use, the cost is about one-half to one third of the traditional implant systems. Because there isn't any major surgery, there is very little discomfort and it can be performed right in our office with local anesthesia (Lidocaine). Most patients don't require anything more than Tylenol or Ibuprophen after surgery.

Studies have shown that you only get about one-fifth or 20% of the chewing strength from a denture as you do from your natural teeth. This procedure will often help denture patients eat better and have more confidence when talking. The patient can throw away those messy adhesives.
